Awakening Bangkok is back in 2025!
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to explore Bangkok at night, Awakening Bangkok 2025 might be your favorite. The event will take place in the area of Phra Nakhon and Pak Khlong Talat in Bangkok, bringing the city’s historic corners to life with glow, color, and imaginative installations. For ten nights, the Phra Nakhon and Pak Klong Talat districts will be transformed into a vibrant playground of light, digital art, and community. This year marks the eighth edition of the festival, and it brings a fresh theme that invites both locals and visitors to connect in a deeper, more heartfelt way.
Originally, Awakening Bangkok 2025 was planned for late November to early December, but the organizers moved the dates to 12–21 December to ensure better conditions for attendees and for the art installations. Under the theme “LOVEVERCITY” (???????????), the festival centers on love in various dimensions, self-love, love for the city, and love between people. The concept is not just decorative, but the organizers also intend for light and art to become a language of the heart, expressing stories, memories, and emotions connected to Bangkok’s old town.
The venue is mainly Phra Nakhon – Pak Klong Talat, which is a historically rich neighborhood full of traditional architecture, narrow alleys, street markets, and cultural landmarks. For convenience, visitors are encouraged to start from MRT Sanam Chai, right by Museum Siam, which is one of the key access points.
Highlights & Activities
