On February 23rd, 2024, Thai national media reported that at Suvarnabhumi Airport, an automated people mover (APM) carrying passengers to the Satellite-1 (SAT-1) building malfunctioned in the middle of the tunnel.

The airport staff members then needed to transport all the passengers to minibuses to the passenger terminal.

It was reported that SAT-1 was recently publicly opened for service in September 2023.

APM was used as a main transportation connecting the passenger terminal and SAT-1 to take departing passengers who passed the check-in process and immigration check to board the plane.
