The Grand Palace

The Grand Palace

The Grand Palace is a magnificent complex of historic buildings located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. Since 1782, it served as the official residence of the Kings of Siam (now Thailand), as well as the center of royal administration.

For over 150 years, the Thai monarch, the royal court, and the government operated from within its walls.

Although the current monarch resides at Chitralada Palace, the Grand Palace remains an important ceremonial site. It continues to host significant royal events, state functions, and cultural ceremonies throughout the year.

Today, the Grand Palace is one of Thailand’s most iconic landmarks and a top tourist attraction, drawing millions of visitors with its stunning architecture, sacred temples, and rich history.
